Michelle Naidoo

Michelle Naidoo is an employment and labour lawyer based in Durban. She specialises in the area of employment and labour law.
She has worked extensively with key corporate clients representing them in disputes before South Africa’s Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration, Bargaining Councils and Labour Court. She advises employers on planning and implementation of affirmative action in terms of employment equity laws and substantive audits initiated by the Department of Labour. In addition, Naidoo also conducts occupational health and safety legal audits and employment and labour law due diligences.
Naidoo obtained her BA (Law) degree from the University of Natal in 1993 and LLB from the same university in 1995. She is currently the President of the Kwazulu-Natal chapter of the South African Society for Labour Law (SASLAW) and is actively involved in planning national and regional SASLAW events to advance and promote labour law as a specialist practice area. Naidoo joined the Group in 2002 and was appointed a Director of the practice in 2005.
