Norton Rose advises on Tigers Realm Coal Ltd A$37.5million IPO

International legal practice Norton Rose (Central Europe) LLP has acted as Russian and English law adviser to coal explorer Tigers Realm Coal Ltd on its A$37.5 million initial public offering and listing on the Australian Stock Exchange.

The listing makes Tiger Realm Coal Ltd the first Australian listed company with more than 50 per cent of its currently inferred resources held in Russia.

Tigers Realm Coal Ltd is currently developing two coking coal projects - the Amaam Coking Coal Project in Far Eastern Russia and the Landazuri Coking Coal Project in Colombia.

Tigers Realm Coal Ltd issued 75 million shares at a price of 50 Australian cents per share giving it a market capitalisation of approximately A$182 million. Unconditional dealings in Tigers Realm Coal Ltd’s shares commenced at 12pm on 29 August 2011 under the ticker TIG:ASX.  

The Norton Rose (Central Europe) LLP team was project managed by of counsel Ezra Machnikowski. Corporate senior partner Valentina Gluhovskaya had overall responsibility for the project and Russian law issues. Corporate partner Andrei Yakovlev had overall responsibility for English law and capital markets related issues. Further assistance was provided by Russian corporate of counsel Janna Smirnova and associates Georgy Kalachev and Nikolai Tymkov.
