Climate change and carbon finance
In Moscow we have a well established climate change and carbon finance practice and we play a leading role in the development of carbon finance markets, which involves regular interaction with state authorities. For example, we prepared a detailed report on the implementation of the Kyoto protocol in Russia on behalf of the Canadian government. This looked at tax implications and possible taxation barriers facing foreign investors. We have since been retained to monitor the implementation of the Kyoto regulations in Russia.
