Floortje Nagelkerke
Senior associate
Floortje Nagelkerke is a financial services lawyer (advocaat) based in Amsterdam. She is an associate in our banking and securities practice. Floortje has particular experience in the regulatory and compliance aspects relevant to investment firms, credit institutions, insurance companies, collective investment schemes (UCITS and non-UCITS) and clearing institutions.
Furthermore, Floortje advises on the regulatory aspects relating to the acquisitions and mergers with regard to financial institutions and on publishing price-sensitive information.
Floortje advises Dutch and foreign companies on the Dutch licence and notification requirements, and she assists companies in their licence or notification processes with the Dutch financial regulators. Generally, Floortje assists Dutch and foreign clients in their contacts with the AFM and the Dutch Central Bank.
Before joining the practice in December 2005 she worked as a lawyer for 4.5 years for the Dutch financial regulator, the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (the AFM). Her focus is exclusively on financial services and regulatory issues. Floortje studied Law at the University of Utrecht and graduated cum laude at the Grotius Academy in Securities Law.

- Regularly writes articles on developments in Dutch banking and securities legislation.
- Lectures the course on Clearing for the Academie voor Toegepaste Rechtswetenschappen (Academy for Applied Legal Science).
