Dr. Flemming Moos is an information technology lawyer based in Hamburg. He is a German qualified specialist lawyer for IT law (Fachanwalt für Informationstechnologierecht).
Flemming specialises in IT, data protection and e-commerce law and has more than ten years’ experience in advising German and international clients on all contentious and non-contentious matters in these areas.
Flemming is regularly involved in outsourcing transactions and he is experienced in drafting and negotiating all kinds of IT contracts including licensing, development, maintenance, distribution and project agreements as well as general terms and conditions.
He is a well-known expert for data protection and privacy law in the German legal market and abroad. In the Juve Handbook 2011, Flemming is cited as one of the “leading names in the field of data protection” and as a “frequently recommended lawyer”. He is also ranked among the “world’s leading Internet & e-commerce lawyers” in the International Who’s Who of Internet, e-Commerce & Data Protection Lawyers 2010.
Flemming is admitted as a mediator to the IT Conciliation Board in Hamburg and he chairs the Hamburg KnowledgeNet of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He is a member of the German Computer Law Association (DGRI e.V.) and the Data Protection Society in Hamburg (HDG e.V.). Flemming has published a handbook on German data protection law, which is widely recognized, and he is a author of various articles on data protection and IT law issues.
