Mike Rebeiro
Head of Technology
Michael Rebeiro is an intellectual property lawyer based in London. He is Head of our Technology practice.
Michael has advised on a large number of major IT outsourcing projects involving the outsourcing of discrete computer departments, technology services, processing facilities and customer call centres. He also advises on all aspects of software licensing as well as IT system procurement and development projects.
Michael has also been extensively involved in providing legal advice to a wide range of internet businesses including e-commerce start-ups and more established providers in both the B2B and B2C markets. This has included advising on the use of emerging cryptographic technologies for secure trading, on-line contracting and advertising as well as on the IT aspects of technology IPOs.
Chambers UK 2010 describes Mike as a "standout presence". His most recent experience includes advising Mena Telecom on one of the world’s first deployments of mobile WiMAX technology on a national scale. He also negotiated contracts for the outsourcing of a leading professional service provider’s global network and advised Bulgaria Telecommunications on a major technology outsourcing to Accenture.
Michael’s career has involved a spell as in-house European counsel at Cadence Design Systems, a NYSE quoted company that specialises in the design and development of semi-conductors and in related consultancy work. While at Cadence, he had global legal responsibility for Cadence’s outsourcing business division.
