Patrick Farrell is a dispute resolution lawyer based in London. He specialises in aviation and transport industry matters.

Patrick advises airlines, banks and lessors on contentious matters and dispute resolution and underwriters on aviation insurance matters (including liability claims world-wide, coverage disputes, advice on wordings and insurance claims generally).

In conjunction with our Brussels office, Patrick advises on the domestic and European regulatory regime for aviation.

He also advises tour operators, travel agents and airlines on claims handling, contractual disputes of all descriptions, brochure terms and conditions and bonding arrangements. Patrick regularly advises aircraft lessors (banks and other financial institutions) on the contentious aspects of asset finance transactions, including lease and mortgage enforcement, asset tracing and repossession.

Patrick is recommended in both the key legal directories as a leading expert in aviation matters.

He also advises clients in the rail industry on contentious issues.

Patrick is Chairman of the UK ICC Commission on Air Transport, a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and past-Chairman of its Air Law Group, Senior Vice-President of the Aviation Law Committee of the International Bar Association, a member of the Institute of Travel and Tourism and the UK Law Society.
