Liz Allnutt is a corporate and commercial lawyer based in Perth.
Liz’s primary area of practice is in the resources sector. In particular, she specialises in drafting, negotiating and advising on contracts for mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure projects. In addition to contract negotiation, Liz has experience in asset acquisition, due diligence investigations and project structuring.
Liz has worked in private law firms for more than 20 years and is the leader of the Australian mining team. She has advised clients – both as principals and contractors – in relation to resources projects in Australia, China, East Timor, Europe and various countries in Africa.
Liz has presented on a variety of issues at industry seminars and conferences. She also conducts client-specific workshops on a range of topics, including project risk management. Liz is currently the national chair of the Resources, Energy and Environmental Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and she is the Australian representative on the Energy Section of LawAsia.
