Alexander Schwenk is a banking and capital markets lawyer based in Frankfurt.
Alex is involved in transactional, advisory and regulatory work for German and foreign financial institutions, asset managers and other businesses operating in the financial services sector. He regularly advises on debt capital market products (e.g. bonds and structured financial products, such as warrant and certificate programmes), OTC derivatives and Islamic finance transactions as well as on compliance with regulatory requirements (securities trading, AML, IT, with a particular focus on data protection and privacy issues). Alex is also experienced in financial restructuring and related insolvency issues. He has a wide range of experience in all matters relating to commercial banking. The author of a number of publications on capital markets law, Alex is a regular conference speaker and a lecturer at the Deutsches Anwaltsinstitut (DAI).
Alex holds both a law degree and a degree in business administration. From 2003 to 2007 he worked as in-house counsel with a German bank association before he joined us in 2007.
A German native speaker, Alexander is also fluent in English.
