Mark Tricker is a competition lawyer based in Brussels and head of our Brussels office. He specialises in all aspects of competition law, including mergers and joint venture clearances, cartel investigations, rules relating to anti-competitive agreements, rules applying to dominant companies, EU and UK market investigations and EU state aid rules.

Clients Mark has advised include AIG, AXA, Carlsberg, Constellation Brands, Deutsche Bank, Emerson, G4S (formerly Group 4 Securicor), HSBC Bank and Stena. He has substantial expertise in EU and UK competition law and has advised leading clients in a large number of industries, representing them before the European Commission, the Office of Fair Trading, the UK Competition Commission and other competition authorities around the world.

Mark is recommended by Legal 500 (2010) in which he is described as “excellent and very practical”.

Mark read jurisprudence at Oxford University (Lincoln College). He joined us as a trainee in 1997, qualified into the competition department in 1999 and was made a partner in 2008. He regularly appears at conferences and is a frequent media commentator on competition law issues.
