Norton Rose LLP in Amsterdam has a team of over 50 Dutch and English qualified lawyers based in Amsterdam.

We practice both Dutch and English law and have worked on some of the most prominent transactions in the Netherlands and Europe. Only recently we advised RWE in its partnership with Essent N.V. This first Dutch utility privatisation was the largest in Europe in 2009 and faced considerable cross-border, multi-jurisdictional, legal, regulatory, competition and political challenges. And currently, we advise the lenders on the project finance of the capacity expansion of the existing A15 road - running from the Second Maasvlakte in the Port of Rotterdam to the hinterland, on the basis of a DBFM contract. This A15 project is the largest project financing to date in the Netherlands.

Our Dutch practice offers a full service with expertise in corporate finance, private equity, M&A, insurance, energy, banking, financial services, dispute resolution, infrastructure, project finance, tax, regulatory and employment law. Our clients include Dutch companies, both private and state-owned, as well as multinational corporations, financial institutions, insurance companies, governmental organisations and the Dutch government. Our tax team offers our clients progressive, innovative tax advice on all areas of commercial taxation. The team is renowned for working on a fully integrated basis with colleagues from the corporate finance, banking and projects departments.
