Australian partner to become Global Chairman of Norton Rose

International legal practice Norton Rose is pleased to announce that the Chairman of Norton Rose in Australia, partner Adrian Ahern will also become Global Chairman, effective from 1 May 2013.
Adrian specialises in M&A and leads the financial institutions industry sector team in Asia Pacific. He is based in our Sydney office.
Adrian takes over from Norman Steinberg, whose term as Global Chairman expires by rotation on 30 April 2013. Norman will continue as Chairman of Norton Rose in Canada and will be a co-chairman of Norton Rose globally.

About Adrian Ahern
Adrian Ahern is a partner of Norton Rose Australia based in our Sydney office. He practises primarily in M&A and infrastructure related matters and has been doing so for almost 30 years. He is presently Chairman of Norton Rose Australia and also leads the group’s Financial Institutions industry focus strategy in the Asia Pacific region. Mr Ahern studied Law and Economics at the University of Sydney. He also studied in Japan in the mid 1970s and worked on secondment in Tokyo in the in-house legal department of a large Japanese organisation in the mid 1980s.
