Norton Rose expands public law and PPP team with new consultant

International law firm Norton Rose has strengthened its public law and PPP team by recruiting the lawyer Professor Dr. Martin Weber (52). He has joined the Frankfurt office of the law firm as consultant and will work there also in close cooperation with the property team. Besides working for Norton Rose, Martin Weber teaches public commercial law at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz.
Martin Weber is an experienced expert in the fields of PPP projects and public law. In recent years, he has provided assistance in a large number of PPP projects. In addition, he has been involved in legislative proposals for the PPP Acceleration Law (ÖPP-Beschleunigungsgesetz) and the PPP Simplification Law (PPP-Vereinfachungsgesetz).
Until the end of 2011, Martin Weber had been member of the board of ÖPP Deutschland AG (Partnerschaften Deutschland). Before that time and for a period of more than ten years, he had been a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he headed the privatisation and infrastructure finance division in Germany. Earlier he had worked for the city administration of Frankfurt am Main in the area of planning, housing promotion and environment.
Martin Weber is the editor of the practical handbook of “Public Private Partnership” and many other publications on the subject of PPP.
The German public law and PPP team of Norton Rose now comprises three partners, one consultant, one of counsel and nine associates.
