Norton Rose advises Italy's Matica System on sale of minority stake to Xenon Private Equity

The Milan and Munich offices of international legal practice Norton Rose Group have advised Matica System, an Italian company active in the design, manufacture and marketing of systems for the personalization and issuance of cards and security documents such as passports, credit cards and identification cards, on a dedicated capital increase amounting to approximately €10 million. The new shares were subscribed by Xenon Private Equity.
Headquartered in Milan, the Matica Group operates around the world through a network of strategic offices in Italy, Germany, France, Mexico, Singapore, China, the US and the UAE. It exports 95% of its turnover abroad. One of its subsidiaries is Digital Identification Solutions AG, a German company listed on the Deutsche Boerse.
The Norton Rose Group team was led by Milan-based partner Paolo Daviddi, assisted by senior associate Anna Oneto and associate Alessandra Fratus. Munich-based partner Klaus Bader advised on issues of German law.
