  • Jurisdiction—“It’s often very difficult for a cloud operator to say where the data is. It can reside in multiple locations and not even be in one country.”
  • Due diligence—“When you do your due diligence, look at it from the perspective of what are your regulatory requirements and what does the law require.”
  • Cloud contracts—Currently cloud contracts are often boilerplate. Customization is not customary . . . “You’re not going to have some of the contractual rights you would have in a traditional contract.”
