Norton Rose Group’s expertise in Africa recognised at multiple awards ceremonies

International legal practice Norton Rose Group is delighted to have advised on four ‘Africa Deals of the Year 2011’ at the recent Project Finance Magazine and PFI awards ceremonies.
The winning infrastructure and energy projects were:
- African Renewables Deal of the Year - Addax Bioenergy: the first bio-energy project to be brought to financial close in Africa and the largest post-conflict agricultural project to be developed in Sierra Leone.
- African Mining deal of the Year - Boseto: the first producing copper mine in Botswana.
- African Telecoms Deal of the Year - Etisalat Nigeria: the largest project financing ever in Nigeria.
- African Power Deal of the Year - KivuWatt: the methane to power project that is Rwanda’s first independent power project, first project financing and largest single private investment.
