Norton Rose Hong Kong grows its corporate practice
17 October 2011
International legal practice Norton Rose Hong Kong has expanded its corporate practice with a new partner-level joiner, Andrew Bleau.
Andrew Bleau arrives from the Group’s Montreal office where he spent the past eight years advising clients primarily in the areas of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. A United States and Canadian qualified attorney with prior capital markets and M&A practice experience in the US and Europe, he is particularly at ease with cross-border transactions involving US and Canadian securities laws and markets.
Mr Bleau articled and practiced as a lawyer with Norton Rose OR LLP between 1995 and 1997. He then joined Sullivan & Cromwell's business law practice, first in New York and then in Paris, before returning to Norton Rose OR LLP in 2003.
Andrew Bleau commented:
“I am delighted to be joining the Hong Kong office. The growing demand for US qualified lawyers with cross-border capital markets experience in the region, together with the sustained regional interest in foreign direct investment into Canada, has made this an eminently sensible move. I am looking forward to contributing to the work being done for our clients by the very strong team we already have in the region.”
David Stannard, Partner and Group Head of Corporate for Norton Rose Group based in Hong Kong commented:
“We welcome Andrew to the Norton Rose Hong Kong practice. Andrew will add further US and international corporate finance experience to the existing capabilities of our Hong Kong office in this key practice area.”
