Norton Rose advises Habacker Holding on construction of a high-tech logistic centre
26 July 2011
The Frankfurt office of the international legal practice Norton Rose LLP has advised Habacker Holding GmbH & Co. KG concerning the construction of a logistic centre comprising 20,800 square metres for GEODIS Logistics in Nieder-Olm/Germany. For this property development, Habacker Holding, located in Düsseldorf/Germany, has formed a project partnership with Competo Capital Partners, located in Munich/Germany. Competo is engaged as Equity Partner. With this move, Habacker Holding reacts on increased demands on high-tech logistics of its tenant GEODIS Logistics. The construction project comprises an investment volume of €17 million.
GEODIS, a subsidiary of the French Railways, intends to operate a German central warehouse for IBM on the site in Nieder-Olm near Mainz/Germany beginning in 2012. The international logistics company will handle return of hardware components for IBM and subsequently restore them. On the Nieder-Olm site, approximately 250 people will be employed.
