Felicity Rourke is an environment, planning and climate change lawyer based in Sydney.
Felicity’s expertise spans all aspects of environment and planning practice and includes appearing in the Land & Environment Court on planning appeals, project challenges and land acquisition compensation claims; as well as advising on and defending clients threatened with environmental prosecution. She also provides strategic advice on projects, including negotiation with public sector stakeholders, and in doing so works closely with multidisciplinary teams including architects, urban planners, traffic engineers, heritage experts and other technical advisers.
She advises on complex projects across a range of industry sectors including retail, residential and retirement developments, mining and infrastructure.
Felicity also has extensive experience advising on the implications for business of Australia's carbon pricing mechanism and all aspects of the Clean Energy package; on the Carbon Farming Initiative; and on reporting obligations under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme.
