France’s position as one of the most liberal arbitration regimes in the world will be reinforced when its overhaul of the French Arbitration Act comes into effect on 1 May 2011. The Act, which codifies case law, also introduces some remarkable innovations, most of which are aimed at speeding up enforcement of arbitral awards.
