Peter Ford is a pensions lawyer based in London. He is head of our pensions department, and is experienced in all aspects of pensions including corporate transactions, public sector outsourcing arrangements (including PFI and PPP contracts), scheme mergers and reorganisations, scheme winding-up, investment and custody and pensions litigation.

Peter has previously been a director of two trustee companies and has recently been re-elected as a member of the Main Committee of the Association of Pension Lawyers. He previously chaired the APL Education Sub-Committee. Peter was the lead legal adviser to the Government sponsored Pickering Review into the simplification of private pensions and is a member of a number of pensions organisations.

Peter is cited as a leader in pensions law by Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession and The Legal 500. He is noted "as a strong and dynamic performer" in Chambers UK 2010 .

Peter qualified as a solicitor in April 1988 and became a partner in the pensions department of another leading practice in 1993.
