Norton Rose Group doubles promotions round to 36

First partner promotions to include Canada, Africa and Latin America
International legal practice Norton Rose Group has today announced 30 promotions to partner, and in South Africa, six promotions to director, more than doubling the total number of promotions made in 2011.
This is the first year the Group has made promotions in Canada, Latin America and Africa, with almost half of all promotions (47%) in these new markets.
The promotions were made primarily across Norton Rose Group’s three global practice groups of corporate (eleven promotions), litigation and dispute resolution (ten promotions) and banking and finance (nine promotions) with a further three in antitrust, competition and regulatory, two in intellectual property and one cross- specialist.
Almost half of the promotions made this year (44%) are women.
Additionally, Norton Rose Group has made 40 lateral partner hires internationally since 1 May 2011.
