Phillip John
Head of North Asia
Phillip John is a corporate lawyer based in Hong Kong and Head of North Asia.
Phillip specialises in mergers and acquisitions, inward investment and joint ventures and has acted on a wide range of public and private takeovers across Asia including M&A transactions in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, mainland China and Hong Kong. He has also advised on a wide variety of public company fundraisings including IPOs and rights issues in both Thailand and Hong Kong.
Phillip read law at Bristol University. He qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1990 and Hong Kong in 1993 and practised in Hong Kong between 1993 and 2000. Phillip joined us in 2000 and was head of the Bangkok practice between 2000 and 2011.
