Gervais Green is an asset and project finance lawyer based in Singapore. He is a partner and head of the Asia Pacific shipping, offshore oil and gas and finance practice.
Gervais has considerable experience in the transportation and energy/offshore sectors, representing financial institutions, lessors, and shipping/energy companies. The legal directories also recognise that Gervais “enjoys a reputation in the Asia market that few can match”.
Gervais has advised on a wide range of projects including limited recourse project financings (particularly in the offshore oil and gas and shipping sectors for LNG vessels, FPSO's, FSO's and drilling/production rigs) and has extensive experience in syndicated and structured debt financing, cross-border leasing and off-balance sheet structures, receivables transactions, shipbuilding/conversion contracts, Islamic financing and export credit financings (including JBIC/NEXI, KEXIM, ChinaExim/Sinosure and COFACE structured transactions).
Gervais was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1991 and became a partner in 2003. He speaks regularly at conferences in Asia on Islamic finance and project financing for LNG carriers and financing alternatives for other high specification “big ticket” assets.
