Our Hong Kong banking and finance team has a long history in the region, acting for clients on a wide range of banking law issues across Asia Pacific. We advise a number of the world’s leading investment and commercial banks and many prominent corporations across our key industry sectors: financial institutions; energy; infrastructure, mining and commodities; transport; technology and innovation; and pharmaceuticals and life sciences.

Our recent work:

  • Advising the Republic of Indonesia on the establishment of a US$3 billion sukuk issuance program and the initial issuance of US$1 billion of sukuk under the program
  • Advising Sunac China Holdings Limited on a Regulation S offering of US$400 million aggregate principal amount of its 12.5 per cent senior notes due 2017
  • Advising The Bank of New York Mellon as trustee on the offering by Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. of US$1.5 billion 1.55 per cent senior secured notes due 2017 and US$1 billion 2.95 per cent senior secured notes due 2022, which have been listed on the Singapore Exchange and guaranteed by Mizuho Financial Group
  • Advising MGM China Holdings Limited and its wholly-owned subsidiary, MGM Grand Paradise, S.A., on a HK dollar senior credit facilities agreement in respect of facilities in an aggregate principal amount equivalent to US$2 billion. The transactions involve a range of complex financing issues
