Went off to Durham University to read Law.
Although I hadn't done a placement here, I had met members of the practice at a presentation in Durham, so was keen to apply for a training contract.
I graduated from University.
I chose to go to Nottingham Law School for my LPC.
After a year out, I joined in the September intake.
"Less people in the office inevitably leads to more responsibility and exposure to all aspects of the firms practice including the marketing and practice development."
Having already done seats in x, y and z, I chose to spend my 4th seat in the Prague office. This provided me with a real opportunity to see a different aspect of the practice and to experience how the smaller offices operate. Less people in the office inevitably leads to more responsibility and exposure to all aspects of the practice's business, including the marketing and business development.
Living and working in a different culture was a new and fantastic experience for me. It really built my confidence, both personally and professionally. The trainee flat is also great, and right in the centre of the city. Not only did this mean that I was close to the office, but I was also well placed to get a superb experience of the Czech Republic. All in all, a very worthwhile experience, and one which I will not forget in a hurry!
