Formal departmental training

We are particularly proud of our training programme, which is given the utmost priority within the practice. In addition to on-the-job training, we offer a range of courses and seminars that will give you the necessary skills required by a first class international commercial lawyer.

Professional skills course

There are three core elements that you will complete during your induction

financial and business skills
advocacy and communication skills
client care and professional ethics

The rest of the training takes place over your two year training period.

Technical legal skills

Through the technical programme, you'll develop an understanding of the legal and regulatory issues we commonly deal with. You will also become familiar with market practice and precedents and enhance your skills of legal analysis, drafting and negotiation

Management skills

Starting at your induction and then at various key stages in your career, you'll develop skills to contribute to both your own success and that of the practice.
