We have long been active in advising on the creation of corporate joint ventures in the UK and elsewhere for major real estate developments and investment.

Our recent experience includes:

JER Partners

Advising JER Partners on its joint venture with Hyatt in relation to the acquisition and operation of the Great Eastern Hotel in the City of London.

Arrow/Allied London

Advising Arrow/Allied London in relation to a £500 million management buy-out of Allied London, now owned by RBS, Delancey and management.

Ask

Advising Ask Property Investments on an institutional investment by MSREF (Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund).

Russian warehouses and offices

Advising Aldama (Overseas) Limited on multiple joint ventures with Raven Russia to develop logistics warehouses and offices in Russia, including a joint venture to develop a $184 million project consisting of 300,000 square metres of grade A warehouse space, close to the town of Noginsk in the Moscow region.

Workspace

Advising Workspace Group PLC on its property joint venture with Glebe, a private property developer set up by ex-Chelsfield director David Phillips, each contributing £20 million of equity. Initially, Workspace sold 11 properties into the joint venture, with 3 properties being acquired from Glebe. The acquisitions were financed by senior and mezzanine non-recourse debt financing of £126 million arranged by Bank of Scotland.

Polish commercial real estate joint venture

Advising overseas and Polish investors in the creation of a joint venture investing in the acquisition of commercial real estate in Poland.

Paris hotel joint venture

Acting on behalf of Blackstone Real Estate Acquisitions on the establishment of a hotel joint venture.

Orion Capital

Advising private equity providers Orion Capital in connection with its joint venture with Marriott Vacation Club International and the related acquisition of 47 Park Street in London’s West End.
