Dr Martin Krause is a debt capital markets and asset management lawyer based in Frankfurt. He specialises in debt instruments and investment products including structured products, true sale and synthetic securitisations, managed CDOs, derivatives as well as open and closed-end structured investment funds and alternative investments. In these areas, he advises on cross-border structuring including regulatory and German GAAP accounting aspects as well as the documentation and implementation.
Martin Krause advises international and national investment banks, asset and fund management companies, insurance-regulated entities and other financial service providers.
Martin joined the Frankfurt practice as a partner in 2008 after six years as a partner in the Frankfurt office of another UK law firm. He is qualified as a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) and tax advisor (Steuerberater) and holds a German MBA (Dipl.-Kfm.).
