AFR - page 47 - Asia, energy, disputes will drive gains
16 September 2011

Large Australian law firms expect revenue to rise in 2011-12. The main areas of revenue growth are expected to be energy and resources, disputes, infrastructure and work linked to Asia. Don Boyd, group deputy chief executive of global firm Norton Rose said it was an "unusual economy" but firms in Australia, particularly those with a focus on energy and resources and infrastructure, should do well. Norton Rose in Australia was budgeting for revenue growth, he said, buoyed by the completion last year of most of the integration process with local firm Deacons.
