Africa Investor names Norton Rose South Africa legal adviser of the year
24 April 2012

Norton Rose South Africa has been awarded legal adviser of the year in the 2012 Africa Investor Infrastructure Investment Awards at a gala awards evening on Monday, 23 April 2012. These annual awards recognise achievements across the main infrastructure sectors in Africa.

Submissions were made by in-house counsel and lawyers involved in the setting up of infrastructure deals and projects. Judges looked at the financial aspects and the structure of the deals as well as how a deal or project was delivered.

Rob Otty, managing director of Norton Rose South Africa comments:

“We are delighted to have received this award. We are particularly proud of our Africa team whose reputation for excellence and market knowledge sees us playing a role in major projects across the continent.

“Governments are looking to infrastructure development and investment as a means of maintaining economic growth and development. We have seen many clients take up the challenge - specifically into Africa. We have advised major international corporates, commercial banks, government bodies, large mining concerns and multinationals. This award reflects our commitment to our clients and continued success in Africa.”
